Well it is true that I trained in LA with some of the best in the business including Vidal Sassoon, Antenna & Yuko. I traveled quite a bit doing platform work and education for Joico. At that time my celebrity clientele would fly me around the globe for destinations weddings, big events, or openings. I was regularly summoned to get them red carpet ready during awards season.

The travelling was great and I met so many movers & shakers, but I have to say the highlight of my career was being recruited by Aveda to oversee education for the national launch when I was only 25.

I eventually moved to Denver where I opened my own salon. I am still very proud of that salon. I had 27 very uber-talented employees and we were the “it” spot in Denver for hair. Now at Anushka I can focus 24/7 on what I love the most: creating custom color. Not only is Anushka the hottest color room in Florida; my clients love that it is a one-stop shop for every beauty service imaginable.

Yes, I did the show a few times. It was a thrill transforming the woman off the street, who doesn’t look her best, into a knock-out. They were always so delighted with the results and so much fun to work with.

Other Brushes with Fame
Of course in LA I did several celebrities (who I wish I could name) and evening news anchors. In Denver I appeared on a local morning show every season to talk about the hottest color trends and my technique for applying them.
