When Will I See Results from SculpSure?
Many patients will begin to see results in as little as 6 weeks following their treatment. As their bodies begin to eliminate the destroyed fat cells, optimal results will usually be seen at around 12 weeks post-treatment.
How Long Will Results Last?
The results from this procedure are permanent as fat cells are destroyed during the procedure and will not regenerate. We recommend that our patients continue to eat clean and exercise regularly to prevent new fat cells from forming in other areas.
Will Sculpsure Leave Loose Skin?
Most clients do not experience loose skin following the treatment. The effects are gradual resulting in fat loss over the period of 6 to 12 weeks. This time allows for the skin to naturally tighten as the weight is lost. However, there are no studies into whether the treatment does tighten the skin.
Is There Anything Proactive I Can Do To Help Achieve Optimal Results?
Our best recommendation is to maintain a healthy diet and regular exercise. Your diet and workout do not have to be anything extreme. However, you will want to maintain a healthy lifestyle to assist in achieving your desired body shape.
We also recommend drinking plenty of water after your treatment to assist in flushing out the destroyed fat cells.
How Long Does It Take To See Results After SculpSure & How Soon Can You Have A Second Procedure?
As previously stated results are typically seen between six and twelve weeks. We recommend waiting between 6-8 weeks following your first procedure to return for another treatment. During the second procedure, we can determine which areas still need to be addressed.
What Is The Difference In Results For SculpSure Versus Coolsculpting?
The main differences between SculpSure and Coolsculpting are the mechanisms, procedure time and downtime after the procedure. Both treatments have similar results.
However, SculpSure maintains an 90% satisfaction rating compared to CoolSculpting at 80%.
The most popular choice for SculpSure over CoolSculpting is that the SculpSure procedure only takes 25-minutes compared to Coolsculpting that can take up to 3 hours.
Where Does The Fat Go After It Is Melted?
Your stubborn fat cells are destroyed through innovative heat technology that destroys the actual structure of the cells. The cells that are destroyed during this process are gradually flushed out by your bodies lymphatic system.
Are There Any Problems With Flying After The Treatment?
Go ahead and book your treatment prior to heading to the airport. You are clear for take off directly after your procedure.
How Long Before I Can Resume Normal Activities?
This has to be the best part. There is absolutely no downtime following your procedure. Many clients will book their appointments during their lunch hour to immediately return to work. Our staff at Anushka Spa & Cosemedical Centre like to call this treatment the lunch-time procedure.
Can You Sunbathe After SculpSure?
Absolutely, SculpSure does not affect the top layer of your skin. Our lasers at Anushka Spa & Salon target the area approximately a half inch below the skin. While sunbathing does not affect the treatment area we do recommend excessive sun exposure for seven days post-treatment.
We also recommend that you do not sunbathe during the prior seven days to your treatment.
What Is SculpSure?
SculpSure is a non-invasive body contouring system for the reduction of stubborn fat in areas such as the abdomen and love handles. The 25-minute procedure destroys up to 25% of treated fat cells without surgery.
Is SculpSure Right For Me?
SculpSure is ideal for individuals with stubborn fat areas. These areas are typically resistant to diet and exercise.
Is SculpSure Right For Me?
While many patients will see results with one treatment. Some patients may want to have additional treatments based on their desired results. Ask your treatment provider about the best treatment plan for your needs.
What Should I Expect During The Treatment?
Most of our patients at Anushka Cosmedical Centre describe the procedure as a tingling sensation intermittently throughout the duration of the treatment. Most patients describe this feeling as well-tolerated.
How Long Do You Have To Wait In Between Sessions?
We recommend waiting six to eight weeks between sessions for the best results.
How Large Is One Applicator?
We offer different applicator sizes to fit different bodies. We typically use multiple applicators at one time. For those interested in multiple areas of treatment, we can accommodate those areas on the same day if desired.
How Does The SculpSure Applicator Work?
The SculpSure applicator works using laser technology to heat up the desired fat cells to destroy the structural integrity of the cell. The cell is then compromised during the procedure and therefore over time, the body will eliminate those fat cells permanently. The elimination of those fat cells results in the reduction of fat volume in those areas.
We can increase or decrease the amount of heat depending on what your practitioner recommends for your body.
Will SculpSure Damage Muscles If There Isn't Enough Fat?
No, we only apply the applicator to areas that have fat. We specifically target the heat to depths where the fat cells accumulate. We do not penetrate too deep to layers consisting of muscle.
What Is The Difference Between Fat Loss & Weight Loss?
The difference between fat loss and weight loss is simple. The number of fat cells contained in the body typically remain constant through the adult life. After the treatment, the destroyed fat cells do not return. However, when we actually lose weight we are not losing the fat cells. Those fat cells become smaller but are still present which is why there are areas throughout the body that cannot seem to be rid of the fat we so wish we could get rid of through diet and exercise alone.
What Can Be Expected From The First SculpSure Treatment?
You will have a consultation with Dr. Bonnie Marting D.N.P., A.P.R.N., prior to your first treatment to discuss your areas of concern as well as the expected results and how many sessions you may need.
During your first treatment, Dr. Bonnie will assess the area to be treated. She will then have you lie down and the appropriately sized applicator will be fitted. The laser applicators will be placed comfortably in your treatment areas and the procedure will begin!
Does The Second Treatment Have To Be The Same As The First? Can I Reduce The Number Of Panels?

Who Is The Ideal Candidate For SculpSure?
The ideal candidate for this procedure is someone with a BMI of under 30. This qualifies individuals in a healthy weight range for their height.

Typically, someone with stubborn fat around the tummy, love handles, thighs and back is well suited to the treatment.
Does SculpSure Take The Place Of A Tummy Tuck?
While it can take the place of a tummy tuck, in most instances SculpSure and a tummy tuck are suited for completely different body types and shapes.
While both have similar results in achieving a flat, slim stomach, SculpSure is suited to those individuals with stubborn fat who do not have excess skin as well. Tummy tucks are suited specifically for individuals with more fat and who continue to experience sagging skin.
We have experienced individuals who have combined the two procedures but first having a tummy tuck and later returning for SculpSure.
A tummy tuck is an invasive procedure and therefore is prone to more sicks and side effects than a SculpSure.
Can You Have SculpSure On Love Handles?
Absolutely, SculpSure has been approved by the FDA for love handles. It is ideally suited for removing fat around the hips.
Can SculpSure Be Done Over A Tattoo?
Yes, you can have SculpSure done over a tattoo without affecting the appearance. Your tattoo however, will be affected in the same way as changes in weight.
Is SculpSure Safe If You Want To Get Pregnant In The Future?
Yes, SculpSure lasers only target the upper layers of fat and do not penetrate the reproductive system. However, if you are looking to get pregnant in the near future we do recommend waiting until after pregnancy to have the procedure done.
Is SculpSure Safe For Diabetics & Can It Help Them Get Rid Of Fat?
SculpSure is safe for SOME diabetics, not all. It can help to reduce fat only if they are an appropriate candidate with a BMI of 30 or under. Dr. Bonnie Marting D.N.P., A.P.R.N. can safely assess whether or not SculpSure is right for you during your consultation.
Can SculpSure Help Minimize Cellulite?
Unfortunately, no. SculpSure is not designed to help with cellulite minimalization.
Can SculpSure Be Used For Inner & Outer Thighs?
You can most definitely use SculpSure for the inner and outer thighs. The FDA has cleared the treatment to include the use on the thighs and the back area.
